Andy Chesney
Andy graduated from AUT University in Auckland with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy in 2018 and has worked across private practice, community sport, and elite football environments in New Zealand.
After a year working as a firefighter, Andy returned to physiotherapy with an even deeper appreciation for the physical demands that sport, training, and physically demanding work place on the body. His background gives him a practical understanding of performance, recovery, and what it takes to stay active when life and training loads are high.
As an avid CrossFitter and endurance athlete, Andy brings genuine firsthand athletic experience into his treatment approach. He regularly competes in CrossFit events and has also won a 60km ultramarathon, giving him a strong understanding of the discipline, resilience, and preparation required to perform at a high level.
Andy uses a hands-on, results-driven approach to treatment, combining Active Release Technique, dry needling, soft tissue therapy, and targeted rehabilitation exercises to help patients recover from injury, improve performance, and get back to doing what they love.
He has a particular interest in sports injuries, performance-based rehab, and helping active people build strong, resilient bodies that can handle the demands of training, work, and everyday life. He is passionate about helping people overcome injury, move better, and achieve their fitness goals.
