Benjamin Chia
Benjamin Chia completed his Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) at Curtin University, after representing Singapore as a national Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athlete for several years. With over a decade of experience in BJJ, Benjamin brings a unique understanding of the demands of high-performance sport and injury prevention.
He began his physiotherapy career in a busy sports clinic environment and went on to become the lead physiotherapist for the Brisbane Strikers youth programme. In this role, he worked closely with young athletes, focusing on injury rehabilitation, return-to-play strategies, and athletic performance.
Benjamin has a strong interest in sports injuries, particularly lower back pain, and enjoys working with active individuals to help them move better, recover faster, and return to doing what they love. He believes in a holistic, patient-centred approach to treatment, blending manual therapy, exercise prescription, and education.
Outside of the clinic, Benjamin continues to push his own physical boundaries—currently training for a half Ironman with plans to compete in full marathons and ultramarathons in the near future. His passion for endurance sports and background in combat sports allow him to connect with a wide range of athletes and understand the importance of tailored, sport-specific care.
