Diarmuid McCowen

Diarmuid is an Irish physiotherapist who graduated from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen in 2019. Over the past six years, he has gained broad experience across private practice, hospitals, occupational health, and orthopaedic/musculoskeletal outpatient departments.

He has a strong focus on musculoskeletal injuries, with a particular passion for helping clients return to full function and get back to the activities they love. Drawing from his own sporting background in Gaelic football, soccer, and distance running, Diarmuid has a special interest in rehabilitating athletes and active individuals. Having completed multiple marathons and half-marathons, he also enjoys working with runners in both a rehabilitation and strength & conditioning capacity.

To further his expertise, Diarmuid attended a physiotherapy running course in Kenya, giving him deeper insight into diagnosing and treating running-related injuries. He combines this knowledge with his wide range of clinical experience to provide a thorough, evidence-based approach—covering diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management.

Outside of the clinic, Diarmuid remains active in team sports and running, which fuels his commitment to helping others perform at their best.
