Daniel Hunter

Daniel completed a Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University and a Bachelor of Business at Massey University. Over the last year Daniel has been back in New Zealand gaining experience in private practice and sports physiotherapy, working with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and providing tailored rehabilitation, manual therapy, and exercise-based treatment to support recovery and long-term health.

Daniel has represented his country in his chosen sport of swimming, including competing at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, multiple FINA World Championships, Pan Pacific Championships, and the World University Games.

During this time, he was working with some of New Zealand’s top Physios giving him unique insight into high-performance rehabilitation and injury prevention from the patient perspective.

Beyond his clinical and athletic achievements, Daniel has contributed to the field through research, completing a systematic review titled “Impacts of Duty Belts and Load Placement on Police Officers.In addition to his clinical work, Daniel has demonstrated leadership as a senior lifeguard, swim team leader, and mentor for the Swimming New Zealand Athlete Leadership Group, supporting athlete development and career transitions.

Daniel combines his clinical expertise, research experience, and elite sporting background to deliver patient-centered care that promotes recovery, performance, and long-term health.
