Campbell Thomas

Campbell joins Elite Health and Performance from across the ditch, originally growing up in New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty where he spent much of his childhood outdoors, playing sport and making the most of everything NZ has to offer. That upbringing helped shape his passion for movement, exercise, and performance, which eventually led him into a career in physiotherapy.

After graduating from the University of Otago, Campbell began his career in private practice before moving into high-performance sport, where he worked as Head Physiotherapist for the Canterbury Men’s Cricket Team and the New Zealand Under-19 Cricket Team. His experience in elite sport has given him a strong understanding of injury management, rehabilitation, and performance, particularly when it comes to helping athletes return to competition with confidence.

Campbell has a particular interest in treating musculoskeletal and sporting injuries using a combination of hands-on treatment and exercise-based rehabilitation. He is proficient in a range of manual therapy techniques including Active Release Technique, dry needling, soft tissue therapy, joint mobilisation, and tailored rehab programming. His treatment approach focuses on identifying the root cause of pain, improving movement quality, and building long-term resilience so patients can get back to training and performing at their best.

He believes the best outcomes come from working collaboratively with patients and involving them in the rehab process from day one. Whether he is treating an elite athlete or an active person wanting to get back to the gym, running, or sport, Campbell is passionate about delivering clear direction, practical treatment, and results-driven care.

Outside the clinic, Campbell and his fiancée Hannah are loving life in Brisbane and are excited to call Queensland home. On weekends, you’ll usually find them out exploring, staying active, and making the most of the sunshine.
